Terms & conditions

The working agreement between you and the atelier. We keep it fair and readable.

These terms govern commissions accepted by Marlowe Bespoke Atelier Sdn. Bhd.. Placing an order — in person or in writing — means you accept them.

1. Quotations & orders

A quotation becomes an order once you confirm the cloth and cut and we receive your deposit. Prices quoted are held for thirty days. Because each garment is cut individually, an order is specific to you and cannot be transferred.

2. Deposits & payment

We ask for a fifty percent deposit to begin, with the balance due on collection. The deposit covers cloth reserved and pattern work already carried out, and is non-refundable once cutting has started.

3. Fittings & your involvement

A good fit depends on you attending scheduled fittings. Missed or repeatedly rescheduled fittings may extend delivery, and significant changes in your measurements after cutting may incur a remaking charge.

4. Timelines

We give honest estimates — typically four to six weeks for a first commission — but tailoring by hand is not an assembly line. We will always tell you promptly if a date is at risk.

5. Client-supplied cloth

Where you provide your own fabric, we inspect it but cannot guarantee how it will tailor or wear, and we are not liable for faults inherent to that cloth.

6. Collection

Finished garments should be collected within sixty days of notification. After ninety days, uncollected garments may be subject to a storage arrangement discussed with you.

7. Liability

Our responsibility is limited to remaking or correcting a garment that departs from the agreed specification. We are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you hold under Malaysian consumer law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts. Reach us at [email protected].
